Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Steady Foundations (“Steady Foundations”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit buildsteadyfoundations.com (the “Site”) or use our education service (the “Service”). By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

Effective date: July 21, 2026.

Who we are

Steady Foundations is an online investing-education service. We provide educational content only. We do not provide financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. You can reach us any time at hello@buildsteadyfoundations.com.

Information we collect

Information you give us:

  • Your email address, when you join our email list or create an account.
  • Account details such as your name and login credentials, if you register for a membership.
  • Payment information, when you buy a paid membership. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number.
  • Anything you send us, such as questions, feedback, or messages.

Information we collect automatically:

  • Basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device, and the pages you view, collected through server logs and cookies.
  • Usage and analytics data, if we use analytics tools, for example to understand which lessons are popular.

Cookies and similar technologies

The Site uses cookies, which are small files stored on your device. Some are essential, for example to keep you logged in or to run the Site. Others may help us measure traffic and improve the Site. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.

How we use your information

We use your information to provide and operate the Service, create and manage your account, process payments and memberships, send you emails you have asked for such as lessons and updates, respond to your questions, improve our content and the Site, keep the Site secure, and meet our legal obligations.

We send marketing or lesson emails only with your consent, and every email includes a way to unsubscribe.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited situations:

  • Service providers who help us run the Service, such as Stripe (payments), our email provider Kit (email delivery), our website host, and any analytics provider. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
  • Legal reasons, if required by law or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfer, if Steady Foundations is ever involved in a merger, sale, or transfer of assets, in which case your information may be part of that transfer.

Third-party services

The Service relies on trusted third parties, each with its own privacy policy, including Stripe for payment processing, Kit (ConvertKit) for email, and our web host and any analytics provider. We encourage you to review their policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites we may link to.

How long we keep your information

We keep your information for as long as your account or email subscription is active, or as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with the law, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, as described below.

How we protect your information

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. No method of sending or storing information over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights.

For everyone, and for United States residents (including under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act):

  • The right to know what personal information we hold about you.
  • The right to request a copy of it.
  • The right to ask us to correct or delete it.
  • The right not to be treated differently for exercising these rights.
  • We do not sell your personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front.

For residents of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom (under the GDPR and UK GDPR):

  • The rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and objection.
  • The right to withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
  • The right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Where we process your data, our legal bases are your consent, the performance of our contract with you, and our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service. To exercise any right, email us at hello@buildsteadyfoundations.com. We will respond within the time required by law.

Children’s privacy

The Service is intended for adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

International visitors

We are based in the United States, and your information will be processed there. Privacy laws in the United States may differ from those in your country. By using the Service, you understand that your information will be handled as described in this policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top, and significant changes may be announced on the Site or by email. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
